Synthesis and electrochemical studies of WO <sub>3</sub> ?based nanomaterials for environmental, energy and gas sensing applications

چکیده

The increase of pollutants in the environment and rapid decrease nonrenewable energy resources are putting immense pressure on ecosystems. Semiconductor oxides possess some unique properties that may provide a foundation for development advanced functional materials to address pressing environmental issues. Among various metal oxides, WO3 based nanomaterials with an array morphologies sizes can be employed wide range applications, including photocatalysis, water splitting, protection, solar energy, electrochromic devices. In this review article, following brief introduction nanostructured materials, synthesis methods used their fabrication described compared. Further, electrochemical, photoelectrochemical properties, promising applications addressed highlighted.
